J&K CM Omar Abdullah asks PM Modi to review AFSPA

Claiming that incidents of militancy has witnessed about 80 per cent decrease in Jammu and Kashmir, Chief minister Omar Abdullah said it is time to revoke the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in the state.

Rejecting the reports about ISIS presence in the Kashmir valley, he said some youths have waived flags of the organisation have no links with militancy.

Talking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a function here today he said since the incidents of militancy has decreased, it is time to revoke AFSPA from the state.
