Clearly these lawmakers are oblivious to peoples' anger. 8 days into their trip, they don't seem to want to come back anytime soon.

That a minister in the state government sponsored this extravagant 17 day, 18 night European jaunt to placate those MLAs who might not get a place in the state cabinet after a reshuffle. In fact, the trip was planned in his office.
