Samajwadi Party Latest News: As the by-polls in Uttar Pradesh draw closer, there are indications that the Samajwadi Party has all but given up the fight with the BJP. However, Mulayam Singh’s prestige is at stake in one seat, Mainpuri, and the SP chief is leaving nothing to chance here. He had won the seat in the parliamentary elections besides Azamgarh and it is up for polls because he decided to vacate it in favour of the latter. The bypoll for the seat also marks the launch of one more gennext member of the extended Yadav family, Tej Pratap Singh Yadav.
