Rahul Gandhi: Modi busy playing drums in Japan
  • 5 years ago
Taking a dig at the Japan tour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday slapped an attack against the Centre and its highest leader stating that while the people of his country are suffering with major issues like water and power crisis, the Prime Minister is busy playing drums in Japan.

While talking to the people in his constituency Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, 44-year-old leader of Congress said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government being in power for more than 100 days has forgotten about its promises made to people and are doing nothing about it.
“Prime Minister had promised he would tackle corruption and inflation. Government has forgotten its promises,” Gandhi said in his strong attack against Modi.
When asked about the infighting that has surrounded the Congress party since its defeat in the Lok Sabha Elections 2014, the Congress VP said, “These types of tensions have always been there, we will deal with that.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a five day trip to Japan that promised to offer $35 billion to India over the next five years for developmental projects, as the two sides agreed to enhance their strategic cooperation to a new level.
After fruitful meetings in Japan, Modi returned to his nation yesterday.
