a staged hate crime in January. Police say he staged the attack to
boost his publicity and salary

brothers another $500 after the attack. He has been charged with a felony for filing a fake police report. The actor continues
to maintain his innocence. His lawyer says that he has been
"betrayed by a system that apparently
wants to skip due process and
proceed directly to sentencing.”
