Kidnapping foiled by Bangalore sops, child rescued

In a dramatic action by the city police, a six-year-old boy was rescued within four hours of being abducted by a gang of six criminals on Wednesday.

On Wednesday afternoon, the six-year-old son of textile businessman Amnaram was allegedly abducted from his house in Cottonpete area, near City Railway station. A shocked Amnaram rushed to the Cottonpete police station. Upon receiving his complaint, a police team swung into action.

The police said that the father received a ransom call from the kidnappers in a couple of hours demanding Rs. 30 lakh in return for the boy’s release. The police team immediately tracked the cell phone number from which the call was made and were able to identify the location of the caller.
