Relief for TMC MP Tapas Pal

In a relief for Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal, a stay has been ordered on registration of FIR and CID probe into his objectionable 'rape and shoot' comments against women.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Girish Gupta and Justice T Chakraborty had heard the case earlier this month and had reserved its judgment till August 13.
The bench had extended the stay till August 14 on the execution of a single bench order directing registration of an FIR and CID probe against Pal for his objectionable comments against women.
