Maharashtra Sadan incident raked in Lok Sabha

Both houses of Parliament on Wednesday witnessed an uproar over Shiv Sena MPs allegedly abusing and forcing a Muslim catering supervisor to break his Ramzan fast and eat a chapati at Maharashtra Sadan.
The Rajya Sabha as well as Lok Sabha were adjourned for a short while.
In the Rajya Sabha, opposition members, after the question hour, disrupted the proceedings of the house, forcing Deputy Chairman PJ Kurien to adjourn the house for 10 minutes.
Ali Anwar Ansari (JD-U) raised the issue when the House met for the day but Chairman Hamid Ansari said the issue can be raised during Zero Hour.
Rajiv Shukla (Congress) said all religions should be treated with respect as members from his party as well as Samajwadi Party rose on their feet protesting the alleged incident.
