Bihar: Dacoits rob train for half an hour

The questions over the safety and security of Indian Railways has been a topic of discussion and the railways are facing a flak over the same.

In yet another incident that puts the security of Indian railways under the scrutiny, a brazen and shocking dacoity has taken place on board the Jan Shatabdi Express train in Bihar on Tuesday night.

More than 300 passengers on board the Jan Shatabdi Express who had been travelling from Patna to Ranchi, had been looted by dacoits. Passengers suggested that more than 30 dacoits, armed with weapons of sorts looted of gold worth several lakhs from passengers in the AC coaches.

The incident of loot reportedly has taken place between Kodarma region in the Jharkhand state and the Gaya region of Bihar.
