Protest against power crisis, law and order in Uttar Pradesh

The BJP workers staged violent protests against the ruling Samajwadi Party(SP) on Monday due to lack of law and order and power crisis in the Uttar Pradesh capital, Lucknow.
TV reports showed visuals where the UP police personnel had to lathicharge the protesting BJP youth workers outside Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
Police also used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protesters as they reportedly pelted stones at security forces.
The routes leading to the UP Vidhan Sabha have been cordoned off to avert the protests from further escalation.
