Congress workers protest against hike in rail fares in Delhi

Continuing protest against hike in railway fare and freight charges, Delhi Congress leaders on Monday held a demonstration in the city, leading to traffic jam in Viswas Nagar area of east Delhi for several hours.

The Congress workers sat on dharna on a road and also broke the police barricade.

The protestors, led by DPCC chief Arvinder Singh Lovely, senior leader Haroon Yusuf, raised slogans against the BJP-led government at the Centre for increasing the railway fare and freight charges.
