Prakash Javadekar is a former Member of Parliament Rajya Sabha and a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected to Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra in 2008.He is the official spokesperson of the BJP.Javadekar is the incumbent Union Minister of State (Independent Charge)in the Government of India. He holds the portfolios of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (India) and Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (India)
