U.P Governor Banwari Lal Joshi resigns

After Uttar Pradesh Governor Banwari Lal Joshi, Karnataka Governor HR Bhardawaj and Assam's JB Patnaik met President Pranab Mukherjee during the day. However, the Karnataka Governor said that meeting the President was only a courtesy call. "No one asked me for it and I won't resign. Meeting the President was a courtesy call," he said.
Sources said all the Governors appointed by the Congress are likely to submit their resignation. Sources added that those who refused to do so, will be transferred by the Narendra Modi government.
