Congress shields Rahul Gandhi post exit poll results

With exit polls predicting a dismal performance for the Congress, the party tried to mount a strong defence of its vice-president, Rahul Gandhi, saying whatever be the outcome of the Lok Sabha polls, it would be the party's "collective responsibility".
AICC general secretary Shakeel Ahmed noted that Rahul Gandhi was the party's number two leader. "Sonia Gandhi is our president and naturally there is a local leadership. So it is all collective."
