The Election Commission on Sunday raided the BJP local office in Varanasi.

According to Times Now, the search operation was carried out at the BJP's Gulabbagh office. The police seized T-shirts, badges and pamphlets.

The details of the raid are yet to be known.

Nearly 16 lakh voters will decide on Monday the most high-profile contest of the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, where BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is facing a triangular fight in this holy city.

Modi is being challenged by Aam Aadmi Party's Arvind Kejriwal, who says that Modi can't become PM if he is defeated in Varanasi, while Congress's Ajay Rai is banking on his "son of the soil" image in what he calls a contest with 'Siberian birds'.
