As the row between the Election Commission and BJP escalates, Arun Jaitley in a press conference says that Modi has been denied permission to hold a rally. "Modi was asked to hold his rally in a banquet hall. How is that possible. The Returning officer in Varanasi is biased and hence this issue has come up. We want the official transferred as soon as possible," Jaitley said. "Permission of a rally was given to an NGO and not to us," Jaitley alleged. Jaitley says, "This is why I, along with Amit Shah and other BJP with workers, will sit on a dharna in front of BHU. This is not a banana republic."
