Congress: Sania is Pakistan bahu, doesn’t deserve to be ambassador

The BJP on criticized Telangana Government for appointing tennis star Sania Mirza its brand ambassador and giving her a grant, saying she is a non-local and “daughter-in-law” of Pakistan. K. Laxman, BJP’s floor leader, alleged that the ruling TRS did this to appease minorities in view of the coming elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and alleged that all actions of TRS in last 50 days of rule are to appease Muslims.
The BJP leaders opined that brand ambassador should have been a local and pointed out that Sania was born in Maharashtra and then came to Hyderabad in 1986, and chose to marry Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik in 2010. The newly elected floor leader hence thought Sania is ‘unfit’ for the honor of being a brand ambassador.
