Tehelka founder editor Tarun Tejpal, currently in jail on charges of raping a colleague, moved a plea before the court on Thursday to permit him to visit his ailing mother who is in a hospital in Panaji.
The application along with attached copies of Tejpal's mother's medical certificates was submitted before Additional Sessions Judge.
He said that his mother Shakuntala Tejpal suffers from brain tumour and is in the last stages of her life.
