Gopal Kanda gets bail

In a relief for former Haryana Minister Gopal Kanda, a Delhi court on Tuesday granted him bail on a personal bond of Rs 5 lakh and a surety of Rs 2 lakh.
Kanda was arrested in 2012 for his alleged involvement in the suicide case of former air hostess with MDLR airlines Geetika Sharma. Geetika was found dead in her house in 2012- she had accused Kanda in her suicide note of harassing her- forcing her to end her life.
In the past 18 months since he has been in jail, he has applied for a bail on several occasions, but his application was rejected every time.
