New Delhi: Calling Prime Minister's remarks on Narendra Modi as 'laughable', BJP on Friday hit out at Manmohan Singh saying that the nine years of UPA rule were 'disastrous' for the country. Ravi Shankar Prasad of BJP said, "Prime Minister, it is your government's rule of nine years that has been disastrous for India."

BJP President Rajnath Singh said, "Narendra Modi has made Gujarat a model of development for the country, PM's statement on Modi is condemnable." "PM saying they performed better than NDA is hilarious. Growth rate at our time was 8.4%, it has now stooped to its lowest during UPA regime," he added.
