If his New Year message on the need to make a "new beginning" is any indication, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh may use his press conference on Friday to make important announcements besides listing out the achievements of the UPA government in the last decade.
The Prime Minister will hold a press conference at 11 am at the National Media Centre. It is only the third occasion during UPA's 10-year rule when he will face the media. In his New Year message, Manmohan Singh said it is time to make a "new beginning" and take "corrective action". The Prime Minister is expected to highlight his government's achievements in the areas of economic growth, employment generation and foreign policy.
