NewsX: Medicine scare - Maharashtra chemists to go on 3 day strike from December 16

Despite warnings from the FDA of initiating action under the Maharashtra Essential Services Maintenance Act, Chemists in Maharashtra have decided to observe a three-day. 43,000 chemists will strike today to protest the FDA's improper action against chemists. The FDA has sent letters to the district collector and the Nashik police commissioner Kulwant Kumar Sarangal, urging them to take action against chemists participating in the strike under MESMA.
