Citing an order issued in 2004 by then Chief Minister Mulayam Singh, Rajmani Yadav has declared half day in all government schools on Friday's just so that students and teachers can offer Friday prayers.
The state BJP unit is strongly protesting this move, slamming the state govt's silence as yet another instance of minority appeasement. But what is even more curious, the teachers themselves deny making any such request.
