We all know how Indian weddings are a lavish affair and a huge amount of money is wasted in the process. However, things might change for the better soon as a bill in Lok Sabha seeks to put a cap on number of guests to be invited and dishes to be served.

The Marriages (Compulsory Registration and Prevention of Wasteful Expenditure) Bill, 2016 has been introduced by Congress MP Ranjeet Ranjan and may be taken up in the upcoming Parliament session.
