Infighting in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit forced the party to defer the announcement of its chief ministerial candidate for the assembly elections in the national capital.

The party, instead, claimed that the meeting of its top leadership was held to discuss the strategy for the Chhattisgarh Assembly polls.
