Even as the Samajwadi Party (SP) government in Uttar Pradesh prepares to ensure complete ban on the Sankalp Diwas of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Ayodhya on October 18, one of its MPs and her husband tried to take out a Ramayan Rath Yatra across Agra city despite government ban on any new religious event or ritual in a public place.
When appraised of the state government's ban and reminded that the district administration had already refused, in writing, permission to allow any such event to be organised, the MP's husband publicly insulted, humiliated and challenged the senior officials
