NewsX: Model Anjum Nayar arrested for abusing cops, released on bail

After spending three nights at Byculla prison, model-turned-actor, Anjum Nayar, was finally released from jail on Friday afternoon. Anjum Nayar was arrested by Oshiwara Police for playing loud music at her flat early on Monday and abusing policemen who requested her to lower the noise.
Nayar was initially let off with a fine of Rs.6, 700 under Bombay Police Act, but was arrested later in the day after senior cops saw a video of her abusing the entire Mumbai Police in front of policemen who had gone to caution her. She was arrested under section 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
