In a shocker from Bihar now. A one and half year old girl was raped in state's Katihar District by a local but what was worse is that the panchayat ordered that the accused pay two lakh rupees and be let off.
In Mohna Chandpur village of Katihar a one and half year girl was lured by a local youth and was raped.
The accused Nilesh Kumar lured the girl on pretext of giving her a chocolate and took her to his house. When the mother of the child approached the panchayat she was asked not to report the matter to the police.
The panchayat ordered that the accused pay a fine of Rs 2 lakh and be let off. The mother of the victim is inconsolable and is crying for justice.
