NewsX: Andhra Congress leaders test party patience, Jagan forcibly shifted to hospital

Battling anti-division protests, which refused to die down, an exasperated Congress in-charge of Andhra Pradesh Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday blamed his own State leaders for not complying with the party high command's decision as promised, but hoped they will fall in line without coercion. That the Congress will stay the course and go ahead with the decision by the Cabinet to bifurcate the State was clearly indicated.

Senior Congress leaders reiterated that neither President's rule nor a change of guard were on the cards. But they also let it be known that the high command was keeping a close watch on Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy's performance in delivering the decision on the ground. If the negative sound bites on the bifurcation that are being attributed to the CM prove to be politically counter-productive, Reddy may have to pay a price, the leaders added.
