The power supply in the Southern parts of India are likely to be affected as the spectra of the southern power grid collapse is looming large with more than 30,000 employees of the electricity department in Seemandhra region vowing to continue their indefinite strike for united Andhra Pradesh.
Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Kiran Kumar Reddy's efforts to persuade them to withdrawn from their strike keeping in view of public sufferings in the absence of power supply failed to yield results. During his talks with them till Tuesday late night he failed to convince them.
