In a turn of events, a day after the Ordinance was rolled back. Rahul Gandhi displayed anguish over his ordinance outburst. In a bid to reach out to the Prime Minister & other elders in the party, the party scion admitted that his choice of words used to denounce the ordinance were perhaps wrong. In an attempt at damage control, Rahul said his mother, Sonia Gandhi, perceives his words were rather strong.
Talking about the controversial ordinance, the Congress Vice President said, in hindsight his language was wrong, but that his sentiments were honest and so he must not be penalized for his comments.
