RK Sahay dies today in Bombay hospital. The condition of senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Ranjit Sahay, who was rushed to Bombay Hospital with severe burn injuries on September 14, had taken a turn for the worse.
It's been more than two weeks since Sahay was rushed to hospital with more than 55 per cent burns, but police haven't been able to confirm whether he met with an accident, or attempted suicide.
His wife told the cops that his clothes caught fire during the Ganpati aarti at their house on Malabar Hill, while Sahay is too critical to record his statement.
