Heavy rainfall on Friday night flooded many low-lying areas in the suburbs. Around 68mm rain in just one hour flooded Pedder Road. The India Meteorological Department Mumbai has forecast heavy rains in the city over the next 24 hours. The rainfall recorded in 12 hours from 8.30am to 8.30pm by Colaba observatory was 2mm and Santacruz 8mm. While meagre rainfall was recorded all throughout Friday , heavy showers were witnessed towards the night in several parts of Mumbai and suburbs.
