Narendra Modi's growth claim has raged a national growth. Finance Minister P Chidambaram has refuted Modi's claims that India's GDP grew by 8.4% during the Atal and Advani era.

Chidambaram stated that average GDP growth rates during NDA regime was 6.0 per cent and not 8.4% as claimed by Modi.
