The Monsoon rainfall in Bihar has been less than expected this year, but the massive deluge which created heavy flood-like situation in prominent regions across Bihar are all linked to one specific reason — mismanagement of dam. Due to the release of water from Nepal, there has been more collection of water in the dam which could've been managed effectively.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to talk about Bihar floods and sought his immediate help in the matter so that the extent of the damage could be curbed.
