Speak out India: Would Govt's austerity drive had more meaning had it cut perks of netas and babus?

The government is planning to spend crores to pay lip service in the name of austerity but ironically the measures announced are nothing more than baseless..Instead of muzzling the gas guzzlers futile efforts are being made curtail government extravagance.

Government gets penny-wise but its measures are proving to be pound foolish.
To curtail its non planned expenditure by 10% it has proposed an austerity drive that will cost the exchequer another 30 to 40 crores.
There are meaningless measures like car pool, usage of public transport, multimedia awareness campaign chalked out to save fuel.
