Muzaffarnagar Violence : Meerut DM Navdeep Renwa deploys heavy Police force to curb riots

Body of a student and son of temple manager was found which led to communal tensions in Meerut. He had a dispute with Salman who allegedly killed him and buried his body. Stone pelting between two communities has been reported. Meerut DM Navdeep Renwa has arranged heavy police deployment in the area and has ordered the closure of educational institutions today.

For almost a week Muzaffarnagar burned and those responsible for fanning the flames of the communal riots are still roaming free despite FIRs being registered against them. Reports emerging suggests that politicians cutting across party lines are involved.

Four BJP MLAs Hukum Singh, Suresh Rana, Bhartendu and Sangeet Som stand accused of spreading communal hatred by circulating fake videos of violence in Pakistan and passing them off as videos of an attack on a particular community to stir communal trouble. Despite being booked for promoting religious enmity, the politicians surfaced on TV without remorse.
