Asaram Sexual Assault Case: Asaram's followers go on a rampage in Jammu

After days of hide and seek with the cops, and professing his innocence, Asaram Bapu has finally spent his first night in jail. The self-styled Godman was remanded to 14 day judicial custody by a Jodhpur Court on Monday so that he may be interrogated about his alleged sexual assault on a school girl earlier this month.
Supporters of the religious preacher had clashed with the police yesterday after Asaram was sent to jail. Police had to use batons to break up the crowd of more than 200 protesters. Asaram is reportedly being kept in a separate cell in Jodhpur Central Jail. Security around the jail has been tightened following the clashes with his the preacher's supporters. Asaram has applied for bail.
