Fearing arrest, the self-styled Godman Asaram Bapu applied for an anticipatory bail before the Gujarat High Court on Friday. But in a major setback, Asaram's attempt to 'buy' more time failed as the Gujarat HC rejected his transit bail plea. As the deadline to appear before Jodhpur police is about to expire, Asaram Bapu, in a smart move, applied for transit bail to evade arrest.
