News X: Grand Mufti asks German ambassador to reconsider decision

After opposition by separatists, now Kashmir's Grand Mufti Bashir-ud-Din Ahmad has asked the German embassy to reconsider holding the Zubin Mehta concert in the valley. Ironically, last month the Mufti was caught on tape enjoying a musical evening.
The hard stand adopted by the separatists and the Grand Mufti is primarily due to fear of an international concert lending credibility to Kashmir being an integral part of India.
