On a day when Janmashtami & children are being celebrated across the country. There is gloom & despondency in one house. A Heartbreaking story from the capital, where apathy shown by top govt hospitals resulted in a tragic death of a 25-day old infant.
Turned down not by one but 4 premiere hospitals in the capital that turned down the parents seeking treatment for their baby. The infant was being treated in Delhi's LNJP hopital. After complains of breathing problem, she was referred to AIIMS. At the premier institution, authorities refused her admission claiming lack of ventilators. The same scenario was played out at Safdarjung and Kalawati hospitals.
The infant's family finally got a nod from GTB hospital, but the baby couldn't survive the road journey.
