NewsX: Hike in fuel prices?

With the free fall of rupee, the rise in fuel prices is inevitable.
Some reports suggest that there could be a steep hike in petrol and diesel prices. Petrol prices have been freed by government and the fuel will be the first to bear the brunt.
Another victim of the falling rupee is inflation. At present it stands at 5.79 percent and if immediate measures are not taken to stop the free fall of rupee, it could even go up to 9 percent.
