N K Singh gets Japan's prestigious national award

The Government of Japan has announced the conferment of the ‘Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star’, its second highest national decoration, on bureaucrat-turned-politician and former MP N K Singh for his contribution in boosting Indo-Japan relations over the last few decades. The prestigious award will be conferred on Singh by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at a ceremony at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on May 10 followed by an audience with Emperor Akihito.
