News X: BJP alleges SP playing vote -bank politics by banning VHP's Yatra

After the UP government banned Vishwa Hindu Parishad from holding a Yatra from Ayodhya to push for the Ram Temple at the disputed site. BJP and SP are at war.
The VHP was planning a pligrimage to 4 adjoining districts from Aug 25.
However on Monday, citing the Supreme Court's directive to maintain status quo at the disputed site of Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government had denied permission to VHP yatra.
Now, the BJP alleges that the SP's stand of banning the yatra exposes its communal mentality and dual character
Meanwhwile, Notwithstanding the ban, VHP has said that it will go ahead with the yatra as planned.
