NewsX: Epidemic outbreak feared in West Bengal

Mamata Banerjee seems to be in for more trouble even as Didi continues to grapple with violence and security problems. The latest to add to her woes is health care crisis. Both Government and Private Hospitals in the state alike are struggling hard to control the imminent outbreak of an epidemic which now seems inevitable.

This as the hazardous bio-medical waste disposal system in the state has crashed. SembRamky the only government notified agency to collect bio-medical waste from hospitals is facing an insight with workers protesting for better wages result the agency cannot provide transport to collect the bio-medical waste safely.
