NewsX: This marked the first time any official had acknowledged the terrorist's presence in Pakistan and it unleashed a storm in both Islambad and New Delhi.
Within hours Khan came out to say he had been mis-quoted by the Pakistani media. He added that he had no idea whether Dawood was in the country or not.
Khan said - and i quote - ''I have never, never, when I was in the Foreign Ministry or now. I do not know where Dawood Ibrahim lives. I am only reflecting what the press has been saying, the Pakistani press have been saying about the gentleman. "
