NewsX: Why is the State Government targeting Officers who are Honest?

There seem to no place for honest officers be it either North India or South.

Even as the dust is yet to settle down on the raging controversy over IAS officer Durga Shakthi Nagpal's suspension.

In Jammu and Kashmir Sonali Kumar, who was the principal resident commissioner, was transferred as she made changes on food arrangements which were opposed by some officials.

Similarly, in Karnataka Ateeq Ahmed who was a member secretary of the Minorities Commission was targeted after he named several Congress leaders over irregularities in WAQF properties.

Another bureaucrat who went after the mining mafia in Tamil Nadu has been shunted out.
Ashish Kumar, the collector of Tuticorin district, was removed after he raided a sand mining unit. The mine owner is said to be close to the ruling AIADMK of Jayalalithaa.
