17-year-old girl working as a domestic help gangraped, five accused arrested

17-year-old girl working as a domestic help at a JNU professor’s residence was allegedly abducted from outside the varsity’s campus in south Delhi and gangraped, police said today. Four out of the five persons involved in the crime have been detained by police, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Prem Nath said. According to the police, the incident took place around 4.30 PM yesterday when the girl went to a footwear store just outside the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus where a youth, whom she knew, persuaded her to sit inside his car.
