West Bangal panchyat polls :Judgement day for Mamata Banerjee

NewsX: Judgement day today for Mamata as the Counting for five-phased panchayat polls in Bengal is underway in 329 counting centres.

Amid sporadic incidents of Violence, TMC is said to be leading in all districts.
TMC is all set to sweep Nandigram in Haldia district. Nandigram was a prime focal point given its 2007 anti land acquisition movement that brought TMC to power in 2008 Panchayat Polls.
But interestingly Independent candidates who branched out from TMC alleging corruption within the party are lagging behind at the second spot.
Sources say that TMC is leading in 497 gram panchayat seats followed by the Left front, which is now leading in 262 seats. The TMC has already won over 6,000 seats uncontested..
