BJP MLA attacked, vehicle stolen at railway crossing in Bihar

Armed criminals attacked former Masaurhi MLA Dharmendra Prasad Yadav near Sarwan railway crossing in rural Patna late on Tuesday night, and hijacked his vehicle. The incident took place when the former legislator was on his way to Sonmai village in Dhanarua police station area of Masauri sub-division. As soon as Yadav’s SUV reached the closed level crossing, five criminals took railway gateman, Yadav and his driver Ashok Kumar hostage at gunpoint. One of the criminals attacked the driver with the butt of the pistol when he tried to tackle the attackers. As Yadav came to Kumar’s rescue, the criminals mercilessly assaulted him and escaped in his vehicle.
